I have this lump below my eyebrow and its really red?

Everyone at school has been asking me what this awful red like huge spot it.. except its not a spot its a lump like under my skin...its really red and its awful... i try covering it up with foundation/concealer but it doesn't really do much ...it stands out and my eyes all swollen ?does anyone know what it could be?

Oh hon! I'm so sorry! It may be a zit, but it depends on how long it has been on your face. If it is making your eye swollen, I would recommend going to a doctor or a nearby skin doctor immediately!

It could be a sty. A sty is an acute infection or inflammation of the secretory glands of the eyelids.



This common infection or inflammation results from blocked glands within the eyelid. When the gland is blocked, the oil produced by the gland occasionally backs up and extrudes through the wall of the gland, forming a lump, which can be red, painful, and nodular. Frequently, bacteria can infect the blocked gland, causing increased inflammation, pain, and redness of the eye and even redness of the surrounding eyelid and cheek tissue.



The best thing is to NOT wear eyeliner or mascara for a few days and wash your face and eyelids twice a day. If it does not go away after a few days or if it develops pus you will have to get antibiotics to fight the infection.

It's most likely a rare condition where the blood in your head flows in the same direction, and you end up with the blood converging. As a doctor, I have performed the operation to fix it over 20 times. Unfortunately, it involves removing the eye, so you will be blind in one eye. Plus, the operation often leads to a rather large infection of the brain. I know that at least 15 of the people I've operated on have died within a few weeks.

pls see an eye doctor - it's a lump under your skin that's probably pressing on to a nerve that's why your eye is swollen...
